Q. What is a bibliography?

For the purpose of writing assignments at university, a Bibliography is a full list of every source you have read or used in the creation of your assignment, even if you have not cited the item.

This will include resources like books, journal articles, newspapers, images, data sets, and anything else you may have consulted.

This is different from a Reference List, which is generally a list of only items which you have cited in your assignment.

If you are a creating a bibliography, please be sure to follow the referencing style guide that is appropriate for your course.

You will find guides to the most commonly used style guides at LSBU by clicking the following link: Referencing Your Work
