Q. How does LSBU protect our email accounts?
Like all higher education institutions, our email servers at London South Bank University are vulnerable to phishing attacks by individuals and criminal organisations. Please be assured we have a comprehensive email filtering system that identifies 99% of these messages and puts a stop to them before they reach your inbox.
However, in a small number of cases a phishing email might slip through the net and get delivered to your inbox. Therefore, it’s essential that all students remain vigilant and, on the look-out, for suspicious emails. Please refer to our FAQs on how to avoid a phishing attack and spotting fake emails for more information.
If you’re suspicious about the authenticity of an email you receive to your LSBU e-mail account, please delete the email and contact Student IT Support at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 020 7815 6678. If you think your password has been compromised, reset your password immediately and contact Student IT Support afterwards.
