Q. Spotting suspicious emails: Does the email address look genuine?
One of the easiest ways to detect a malicious phishing email is to check the email address of the sender. Likewise, check the URL of any links posted. Phishing emails often present very similarly to well-known organisations and institutions but look closely and you may see a slight difference in the email address i.e. firstname.lastname@example.org is not a genuine LSBU email address.
If you’re suspicious about the authenticity of an email you receive to your LSBU e-mail account, please delete the email and contact Student IT Support at email@example.com or call us on 020 7815 6678.
If you think your password has been compromised, reset your password immediately and contact Student IT Support afterwards.
