Q. Spotting suspicious emails: Does it have a suspicious link or attachment
If you are unsure about the authenticity of an email do not click on any links or open any attachments even if they look like they will take you to a familiar and secure webpage. Open up a separate web browser and use this to find the correct webpage so the suspicious email link cannot direct you to a fake webpage where they can try and gather your personal information and account details.
If you have clicked on a link or opened an attachment in a fake or phishing email, make sure you reset your password straight away and contact Student IT Support for more advice.
If you’re suspicious about the authenticity of an e-mail you receive to your LSBU e-mail account, please delete the e-mail and contact Student IT Support at email@example.com or call us on 020 7815 6678.
If you think your password has been compromised, reset your password immediately and contact Student IT Support afterwards.
